Rosie had her first post-surgical examination this morning.

There is a tiny spot on the upper right gum line that is not holding; however, Dr. Walker says it is in an area where there is healthy tissue and if it doesn’t heal on its own, she can put in another couple of stitches. Eddie and I were quite upset but the Dr. says these things happen and it is fixable.

The really great news is that Rosie’s lower jaw is healing very nicely and Dr. Walker was very happy with how it looks.

Rosie will remain on syringe feeding a bit longer and then we will try putting little balls of food in her mouth to get her used to eating again.

We are making great progress, just need to take it day by day and we will have her in physical therapy soon!!!
